‘The Last Days of Peter Bergmann’ wins Grand Jury Prize at Nashville

The documentary recently won the IFTA for Best Short at this month’s ceremony, beating tough competition which included multi award winning ‘The Missing Scarf’, ‘Rba’ and ‘SLR’. The film has been selected to screen in Paris at the Panorama of the Golden Nights, which is organised by the French Academy of Cinema Acadmie des Csar.

‘The Last Days of Peter Bergmann’ is the true story of a man called Peter Bergmann who, in 2009, moved to Sligo town c ugg laiming he was from Austria. Over the last three days of his life, Bergmann went to great lengths to ensure that nobody knows who he is. The documentary received funding from the Irish Film B ugg oard.

The film is having a successful festival run, so far it has screened at the Sundance Film Festival, True/False Film Festival and Stranger than Fiction where it picked up the Audience Award.
